History of Johanna Matilda Magnusdotter
Johanna Matilda was born on December 17, 1844 in Nickalycke. She was
the third child and the first surviving girl of Magnus Johannesson and
Martha Lisa Isaksdotter.
Johanna Matilda married in 1865 to Frans Magnusson. They moved to
Prämboda, Långasjö, after the wedding, and took over the family farm from
Frans’ father. The farm was ¼ mantal, which was viewed as sufficient for
one family. In addition to Frans and Johanna, living on the farm were
Frans’ retired parents and two farm helpers. Johanna and Frans had no
children.
Johanna and Frans lived on the farm until they apparently retired in 1902,
and moved to Elmboda. I have not been able to trace them after the move.
